  • 1 Cardamom Pods
  • 1 Cloves
  • 1/2 Bay Leaf
  • 1 Onions, Finely Chopped
  • 1/2 tablespoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1 Tomatoes, Finely Chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cumin Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • as needed Chopped Coriander Leaves For Garnish

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a bowl, marinate the prawns with turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt, and lemon juice. Set aside for 15 minutes.
  • STEP 2.Heat oil in a pan and add the whole spices (cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, and bay leaf). Fry until fragrant.
  • STEP 3.Add the chopped onions and cook until golden brown. Add the ginger-garlic paste and cook for another minute.
  • STEP 4.Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they are soft and mushy. Add the powdered spices (coriander, cumin, turmeric, red chili) and cook for a minute.
  • STEP 5.Add the marinated prawns and cook until they are pink and cooked through. Add water if needed to adjust the consistency of the gravy.
  • STEP 6.Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with steamed rice or naan bread.

  • Make sure to devein the prawns before marinating them.
