'Chingri' is a Bengali word for prawns, while 'Bhapa' means steamed in Bengali. The preparation is renowned for its soft and succulent prawns, that have been cooked with coconut milk, poppy seeds, and sugar.  To enjoy this dish, you must pick the large-sized prawns, like the tiger prawns, and to keep it as authentic as possible, use only mustard oil to cook it.
