Ingredients for Chinese Style Garlic Butter Pork Roast Recipe

  • 8 piece Pork shoulder cut into equal 2 kg
  • 1.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • As required Ingredients for sauce
  • 100 gram Unsalted butter
  • 80 gram Brown sugar
  • 65 milliliter Cider vinegar or white vinegar
  • 4 Garlic finely chopped cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper

Directions: Chinese Style Garlic Butter Pork Roast Recipe

  • STEP 1.Preheat the oven to 160 degrees C.
  • STEP 2.For the sauce, in a saucepan add 65 ml cider vinegar or white vinegar, 80 gm brown sugar, 100 gm unsalted butter, 4 cloves finely chopped garlic, ¼ tsp salt, ¼ tsp black pepper.
  • STEP 3.Turn on the heat to medium and cook stirring continuously, till ingredients are well combined.
  • STEP 4.Remove from the heat. Keep aside.
  • STEP 5.Line a roasting tray with kitchen foil. On the tray, arrange 2 kg pork shoulder cut into 8 equal pieces.
  • STEP 6.Sprinkle the pork with 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp pepper.
  • STEP 7.Pour the prepared butter sauce all over the pork.
  • STEP 8.Then cove the tray with foil and place in the oven to cook for 1 hour 15 minutes.
  • STEP 9.Then remove from the oven, uncover the tray and turn the pieces of pork over.
  • STEP 10.Return the tray to the oven uncovered for another 15 minutes.
  • STEP 11.Remove from the oven and turn the pieces over again.
  • STEP 12.Spoon the juices from the tray all over the pieces of pork.
  • STEP 13.Return the tray to the oven for another 10 minutes.
  • STEP 14.Then remove from the oven and let the pork rest for another 5 minutes.
  • STEP 15.Serve on a bed of lettuce.
