Ingredients for Chinese Style Chicken Meatball Soup Recipe

  • 100 gram Chicken
  • 1 No.s MediumPotato cut into cm size cubes 1
  • 1 Spring onion finely chopped Nos
  • 1/2 Ginger finely chopped cm
  • 1 Garlic finely chopped clove
  • 3 Coriander roughly chopped stems
  • 1/2 teaspoon White pepper powder
  • 1 tablespoon Cornflour
  • 1 Egg white
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • 600 milliliter Chicken Stock
  • As required Salt
  • 1/2 liter Oil for deep frying

Directions: Chinese Style Chicken Meatball Soup Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1. in a large mixing bowl add 100 gm minced chicken meat, 1 egg white, 1 tsp corn flour, ½ tsp white pepper powder, salt to taste and half of the finely chopped 1 clove garlic and ½ cm ginger. Mix all the ingredients together to combine well.

step 2

  • STEP 1. dust hands with flour to prevent the meat from sticking. Take 1 tsp of the chicken mixture and roll to make a small ball. Arrange them in a plate and keep aside.

  • STEP 1. in a wok heat ½ ltr oil. When the oil is hot add 1 medium potato cut into 1 cm size cubes and fry for 5 minutes or until golden brown.

  • STEP 1. The grease.. Use a slotted spoon or a sieve and remove the potato pieces from the oil. Shake the spoon or sieve to remove any extra oil. Place on a kitchen paper towel to drain off

  • STEP 1. pour off the oil into a container and store for later use.

  • STEP 1. retain 1 tsp oil in the wok and add the remaining finely chopped ginger garlic and half a spring onion finely chopped and stir fry for a few seconds.

  • STEP 1. next add 600 ml chicken stock and bring it to a boil.

step 8

  • STEP 1.when the stock is boiling gently add the meatballs one at a time into the wok.

  • STEP 1. add the fried potato and salt to taste. Stir gently.

step 11

  • STEP 1.cook on low heat for 15 to 20 minutes. then add 1 tsp sesame oil, half a finely chopped spring onion and coriander leaves. Turn off the heat.

  • STEP 1.serve hot.
