Ingredients for Chinese Stuffed Pancakes Recipe

  • 150 gram Minced pork
  • 200 gram Plain flour
  • 100 milliliter Warm water
  • 3 No.s Celery Sticks
  • 1/4 No.s Small cabbage
  • 2 No.s Spring onions
  • 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 1/2 piece Ginger
  • 1 teaspoon Ground red pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • As required Salt

Directions: Chinese Stuffed Pancakes Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.1 in a mixing bowl combine 200 gm flour with 100 ml warm water to make smooth dough. Cove the bowl and let it rest in a warm area for 1 hour.

  • STEP 2.2 in a large mixing bowl place 150 gm minced pork, ½ cm finely chopped ginger, 2 finely chopped spring onions, 1 tbsp soy sauce, salt to taste, 1 tsp ground red peppercorns, 1 tbsp oil and mix all the ingredients together till well combined.

  • STEP 3.3 in a large saucepan fill 2 ltr water and bring to a boil. Add 3 roughly sliced celery sticks to the boiling water and blanch for 1 minute.

  • STEP 4.4 use a sieve to remove the celery and hold it under cold running water for 2 minutes. Then keep aside to drain off the excess water.

  • STEP 5.5 in the same boiling water add ¼ pieces of a small cabbage, roughly chopped and blanch for 1 minute.

  • STEP 6.6 use a sieve to remove the cabbage and hold it under cold running water for 2 minutes. Then keep aside to drain off the excess water.

  • STEP 7.7 place the celery in a food processor and blend for 2 minutes until fine. Transfer to a large bowl.

  • STEP 8.8 similarly blend the cabbage for 2 minutes and add it to the bowl with the celery.

  • STEP 9.9 squeeze the celery and cabbage to extract the moisture.

  • STEP 10.10 then place the celery and cabbage in the bowl with the mince and mix well together..

  • STEP 11.11 dusta clean flat surface and roll out the dough to form a thick log shape. Divide it into 6 equal portions.

  • STEP 12.12 dust each portion and using a rolling pin, roll them out to form 3 mm thick wraps.

  • STEP 13.13 place 1 tbsp of the mince filling in the centre of each wrap. Then pinch and fold the wrap all the way round. Ensure it is sealed completely and then gently press it to flatten it.

step 14

  • STEP 14.14 in a frying pan heat 1 tbsp oil on medium heat, place the pancakes in the frying pan one at a time. Fry on each side for 3 minutes until evenly golden brown on both sides. Fry the pancakes in batches.

step 15

  • STEP 15.15 then remove from the pan, arrange on a plate and serve hot.
