  • 350 gram Minced pork
  • 350 gram Green radish
  • 2 No.s Spring onions
  • 10 gram Ginger finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground red pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground star anise
  • 1 tablespoon Light soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Cooking wine
  • 1 tablespoon Corn flour
  • 1 No.s Egg
  • As required Salt

Directions: Chinese Steamed Pork On Green Raddish Recipe

  • STEP 1.separate the egg white and egg yolk into different bowls and beat the egg white till fluffy.
  • STEP 1.in a mixing bowl place 350 gm minced pork, add 10 gm finely chopped ginger, 2 finely chopped spring onions, ½ tsp ground red pepper, ½ tsp ground star anise, 1 tsp light soy sauce, 1 tsp cooking wine, 1 tsp corn flour and salt to taste and mix well.
  • STEP 2.Leave to marinate for 10 minutes. Fill a saucepan with water and bring to a boil . Add 350 gm green radish thinly sliced to 2 mm thickness and boil for 1 minute. Then remove and drain the radish.
  • STEP 3.Place under cold running water for 2 minutes. In a pasta dish arrange a circle of radish slices, each folded in a shell shape.
  • STEP 4.Place 1 tsp of mince mixture in each radish shell with the rest of the mixture in the center of the dish. Make a dent in the center of the mixture , pour the whisked egg white in the dent and top with the egg yolk.
  • STEP 5.Place the dish in a steamer and steam for 15 minutes. Carefully remove the dish from the steamer and serve as it is.
