A spicy soup made from chicken broth and flavoured with garlic chilli sauce.an easy and simple soup recipe known for its spice and sourness taste. it is fast food or a street food recipe served as appetizer or starter just before an indo chinese or north indian meal. generally, it is made with diced vegetables and indo chinese sauces and a fried noodles topping, but can also be made with a choice of meat.

Ingredients for Chinese Spicy Soup Recipe

  • 150 gram Plain flour
  • 2 No.s Spring onions finely chopped
  • 3 Ginger finely chopped mm
  • 2 Garlic finely chopped cloves
  • 2 tablespoon Garlic and chilli sauce
  • 5 Coriander finely chopped stems
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground Sichuan peppercorns
  • 600 milliliter Chicken Stock
  • As required Salt

Directions: Chinese Spicy Soup Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.1 in a mixing bowl add 100 ml cold water and 150 gm plain flour and mix to make a thick sticky texture.

  • STEP 2.2 heat oil in a wok and fry ½ tsp ground sichuan peppercorns,finely chopped 3 mm ginger, finely chopped 2 cloves. Stir for a few seconds.

  • STEP 3.3 then add 2 tbsp garlic & chilli sauce and fry for a few seconds.

step 4

  • STEP 4.4 add 600 ml chicken sauce and mix well. Bring it to a boil.

step 5

  • STEP 5.5 using chopsticks add small amounts of the flour mixture to the boiling soup.

step 6

  • STEP 6.6 add salt to taste.

step 7

  • STEP 7.7 cover and simmer for 3 to 5 minutes.

step 8

  • STEP 8.8 lastly add 2 spring onions and 5 stems of coriander finely chopped.

step 9

  • STEP 9.9 transfer to a bowl and serve.
