Ingredients for Chinese Spicy Chili Fries Recipe

  • 2 No.s Potatoes medium, thinly julienned
  • 2 Garlic finely chopped cloves
  • 2 No.s Red chilli thinly sliced
  • 1 No.s Spring onion finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground ginger powder
  • 1 Oil for deep frying ltr

Directions: Chinese Spicy Chili Fries Recipe

  • STEP 1.In a wok add 1 ltr oil and heat it till smoking hot. Add 2 medium size potatoes cut into thin julienne or threads.
  • STEP 2.Stir while frying so that the threads do not stick to each other and fry for 15 to 20 seconds till crispy.
  • STEP 1.Use a slotted spoon or sieve to remove the fried potato from the hot oil. Shake to remove excess oil. Place the potato on a kitchen paper towel to drain.
  • STEP 3.Pour out most of the oil from the wok into a container. Retain 1 tbsp of oil in the wok.
  • STEP 4.To this hot oil add 2 finely chopped cloves of garlic, 1 finely chopped spring onion, 2 thinly sliced red chilli and ½ tsp ground ginger powder. Fry for 1 minutes.
  • STEP 5.Then add the fried potato back into the wok and add salt to taste. Mix well to combine all the ingredients in the wok.
