Ingredients for Chinese Shredded Pork Recipe

  • 1/2 gram Pork fillet cut into cm thick slice and then cut into thin strips 200
  • 1 No.s Carrot cut into thin strips
  • 1 No.s Green pepper cut into thin strips
  • 50 gram Tree fungus cut into thin strips
  • 1 No.s Spring onion finely chopped
  • 4 No.s Garlic Cloves Finely Chopped
  • 10 gram Ginger finely chopped
  • 3 teaspoon Cornflour
  • 3 tablespoon Cooking wine
  • 2 tablespoon Spicy bean paste
  • 4 tablespoon Sugar
  • 2 tablespoon Vinegar
  • 2 tablespoon Dark soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame oil
  • As required Salt
  • 5 tablespoon Cooking Oil

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Place 200 gm pork cut into ½ cm thick slice and then cut into thin strips in a mixing bowl, 2 tbsp cooking wine, 2 tbsp cornflour, 1 tbsp oil, salt to taste and mix well to combine all the ingredients and ensure that the pork is well coated.
  • STEP 2.Leave to marinate for 15 minutes.
  • STEP 3.In a small bowl combine 1 tbsp cornflour with 3 tbsp water and mix well to get a lump-free paste.
  • STEP 4.In another small bowl add 2 tbsp dark soy sauce, 1 tbsp cooking wine ,2 tbsp vinegar, 4 tbsp sugar and mix well to dissolve the sugar.
  • STEP 5.In a wok heat 2 tbsp oil till smoking hot, add the marinated pork in the hot oil and stir to separate the pork pieces.
  • STEP 6.Stir fry for 3 minutes till the colour changes to white.
  • STEP 7.Then remove from the wok and keep aside.
  • STEP 8.In the same wok heat 1 tbsp of oil add 1 carrot cut into thin strips and stir fry for seconds and then remove from the wok.
  • STEP 9.Next heat another 1 tbsp oil into the wok, add 4 cloves finely chopped garlic and 10 gm finely chopped ginger, 2 tbsp spicy bean sauce, and fry for one minute.
  • STEP 10.Return the pork to the wok and stir fry for a few seconds.
  • STEP 11.Then add the sauteed carrot, 1 green pepper cut into thin strips, 50 gm tree fungus cut into thin strips, and stir fry for 2 minutes.
  • STEP 12.Pour the prepared sauce mixture into the wok and stir fry for another 2 minutes to combine the flavours well.
  • STEP 13.Then pour in the prepared corn flour water mixture and stir well till absorbed by the pork mixture.
  • STEP 14.Lastly, add 1 finely chopped spring onion, 1 tbsp sesame oil and stir.
  • STEP 15.Transfer to a dish and serve.
