Ingredients for Chin Baung Kyaw Recipe

  • As required Roselle leaves
  • 1/2 cup Shrimp
  • 5-6 cloves of garlic
  • 2 Onions
  • As required Cooking Oil
  • As required Turmeric
  • As required Chili powder
  • As required Salt
  • As required Chicken broth mix
  • As required Fish sauce

Directions: Chin Baung Kyaw Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.Wash and drain roselle leaves. Wash and cut the shrimp. Slice the garlic cloves and onions roughly, then add it into a chopper and get minced of garlic and onions.

  • STEP 1.In a pan add 2 ½ tbsp of cooking oil and heat it at medium flame. Then add the garlic-onion mixture to the oil and saute them.

  • STEP 1.Once onions turn translucent add 1 tsp turmeric powder and stir it well. Then add 3 tsp or more chili powder and give it a good mix. Add the chopped shrimp and mix it well. Simmer it uncovered.

  • STEP 1.Once the shrimp is halfway cooked add the rosella leaves. Stir it gently in a scooping motion until the leaves soon wilt.

step 5

  • STEP 1.Add 2 tbsp fish sauce and mix it well. Stir and scoop from bottom to top. Cover it with a lid and let it simmer for 3-4 minutes. Uncover it and you will find the leaves have delicious melted and salt to taste and give a good mix.

step 11

  • STEP 1.Add water if needed and let it simmer for 3-5mins furthermore.
