Ingredients for Chilli potato Recipe

  • as required Potatoes
  • 0.13 cup All-purpose flour
  • 0.13 cup Corn flour
  • 0.13 tsp Salt
  • 0.13 tsp Red chili powder
  • 0.13 tsp Black pepper powder
  • as required Onion finely chopped
  • as required Oil for trying
  • 1/4 g reen capsicum finely chopped
  • As Required Garlic cloves grated
  • 1/2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Chilli sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp Vinegar
  • 1/2 tbsp Ketchup
  • 1/4 tsp Red chili powder
  • as required Salt
  • As Required for corn flour slurry
  • 1 tbsp Corn flour
  • 0.13 cup water

Directions: Chilli Potato Recipe

  • STEP 1.Peel the potatoes and cut them into 1/2 inch thick long strips. Cut them evenly.
  • STEP 2.In a bowl add cornflour, maida(all-purpose flour), salt, pepper powder, red chili powder and mix well Add water gradually and mix well. Dip the potato pieces into the batter and mix well to coat all the potatoes pieces evenly.Heat oil in a pan on medium flame and deep fry the potato pieces till they are golden brown in color and keep them aside.
  • STEP 3.Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan and add garlic and saute for some seconds. Add onions and let it fry a minute add capsicum saute for a minute. Add soy sauce, red chilli sauce, vinegar and ketchup and mix well. Add red chili powder and to taste salt some water and bring it to a boil.
  • STEP 4.Now Dissolve 2 tbsp cornstarch in 1/4 cup water to make a smooth slurry and add this to the pan. Mix well and cook for 20 seconds.
  • STEP 5.Add the fried potato pieces and mix for few seconds. Switch off heat.
  • STEP 6.Transfer on a serving plate. serve immediately.
