Tandoori Chicken Biryani is a rice-based dish (usually using basmati rice) made with spices and chicken, and chicken is marinated with Tandoori masala and yogurt. Ingredients for Chicken Tandoori Biryani Recipe

  • 1/4 kg Chicken
  • 2 Pieces ( cut into
  • 62.50 gm Yogurt
  • 1/4 g Big onion sliced
  • 1/2 Pieces Tomato sliced
  • 1 g reen chili cut into lengthwise
  • 25 Cup ½ cup clarified butter( g
  • 125 gm Rice( long grain basmati rice)
  • 1/4 tbsp Red chili powder
  • 1/4 tbsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tbsp Tandoori masala powder
  • 1/2 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 1/4 tsp ½ tsp orang
  • A Few Some Saffron threads
  • 1 tbsp Milk
  • 0.13 tsp Nutmeg and mace powder
  • 0.13 tsp Green and black cardamom powder
  • as required Whole all spice
  • 1/2 Pieces Star anise
  • 1/4 tbsp kewra
  • 1/2 Pieces Some charcoal

Directions: Chicken Tandoori Biryani Recipe

  • STEP 1.Make cuts on chicken and then marinate chicken with ginger garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, tandoori masala powder, salt and yogurt.
  • STEP 2.For smoky flavour_
  • STEP 3.Take a few pieces of wood charcoal and place them on the gas burner and heat them till they are red.
  • STEP 4.Take the burning charcoal pieces in a small bowl and keep the bowl in the bowl of marinated chicken pieces.
  • STEP 5.Pour some oil on the charcoals and as soon as
  • STEP 6.they start emitting smoke cover the marination bowl with the lid. Let it smoke for 30 minutes.
  • STEP 7.Preheat oven to 180° C.
  • STEP 8.Soak rice in water for half an hour.
  • STEP 9.Grease baking tray then put chicken over baking tray and preheats it in oven for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • STEP 10.Mix orange food color, saffron threads and kewra in luke warm milk n mix well. keep aside.
  • STEP 11.For Gravy :
  • STEP 12.Take 2 tablespoon ghee and keep aside.
  • STEP 13.Preheat remaining ghee in a pan and fry onion, whole all spice and star anise on low heat.
  • STEP 14.When onions become golden brown then add ginger garlic paste and mix well.
  • STEP 15.Now add remaining yogurt and green chillies, cook for a while until yogurt water dries up.
  • STEP 16.Then add plum, tomatoes, kewra mixture, salt, half cup water, half quantity of fresh green coriander and mint leaves, cook for two minutes and turn off stove.
  • STEP 17.Gravy is ready.
  • STEP 18.Now put nutmeg mace powder, black and green cardamom powder and remaining green coriander and mint leaves over gravy.
  • STEP 19.Now place oven tandoori chicken over it.
  • STEP 20.Add bit of salt in rice and boil in water.
  • STEP 21.When water of rice boiled then takeout third part of rice and put on gravy.
  • STEP 22.Note :
  • STEP 23.These uncooked rice will cook with gravy water through simmering.
  • STEP 24.When fourth portion of water become left in rest of rice then sieve it.
  • STEP 25.Now add remaining 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg mace powder, 1/4 teaspoon black and green cardamom powder, 1 teaspoon kewra mixture and 2 tablespoon ghee on top of rice.
  • STEP 26.Steam the rice for 10 to 12 minutes.
  • STEP 27.Delicious tandoori chicken biryani is ready to serve.
