Ingredients for Chicken Lumpia Recipe

  • 0.33 cup Cooking oil
  • 0.21 pound Ground chicken
  • 0.17 piece Onion minced
  • 0.13 cup Carrot minced
  • 0.17 piece Egg
  • 0.08 teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • 1.67 Nos Lumpia wrappers
  • As required Pinch crushed black pepper
  • 0.17 Cup bowls shredded cabbage
  • 0.33 Tbsp Splash Of Soy Sauce

Directions: Chicken Lumpia Recipe

Cooking Direction

  • STEP 1.In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the chopped onions and minced garlic and sauté until they become translucent.
  • STEP 2.Add the ground chicken and cook until it's no longer pink, breaking it into small pieces as it cooks. Add black pepper. Cook for a couple of minutes, allowing the flavours to meld.
  • STEP 3.Add the shredded cabbage, carrots, and sliced green beans. Cook for an additional 3-5 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp. Remove from heat and let the filling cool.
  • STEP 4.Place a lumpia wrapper on a clean, flat surface. Spoon about 2-3 tablespoons of the chicken and vegetable filling in the centre of the wrapper. Roll them up.
  • STEP 5.Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet or pan for frying. Once hot, carefully place the lumpia in the oil and fry until they turn golden brown and crispy, about 3-5 minutes.

Cooking Tips

  • When assembling the lumpia, make sure to wrap them tightly to prevent oil from seeping into the rolls while frying.
  • Maintain the oil temperature while frying. This will help achieve perfectly crispy lumpia.

Serving Tips

  • Remove the fried lumpia and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil before serving.
  • Offer a variety of dipping sauces, including the soy sauce and vinegar dip, sweet chilli sauce, and even a peanut sauce.
