Ingredients for Chicken Kosha Recipe

  • As required FOR THE MARINADE
  • 25 gram onions sliced
  • 8 gram garlic finely chopped
  • 2 piece green chillies chopped
  • 25 gram ginger paste
  • 60 gram Yoghurt
  • 18 gram turmeric powder
  • 2 gram red chilli powder
  • 2 gram garam masala powder
  • 28 gram Salt
  • 5 gram Lime juice
  • 40 gram mustard oil
  • As required FOR THE CURRY
  • 1 kilogram chicken cut and cleaned
  • 200 gram potatoes halved 6 pcs
  • 300 gram onions thinly sliced
  • 2 piece dried red chillies
  • 2 piece bay leaves
  • 3 piece Cardamom
  • 3 piece Cloves
  • 1 piece Cinnamon
  • 8 piece Peppercorns
  • 10 gram Sugar
  • 10 gram coriander leaves finely chopped
  • 2 piece green chillies slit
  • 400 gram Hot water

How to Make Chicken Kosha Recipe

  • Cut and wash the chicken. Marinate the chicken with the ingredients

  • Marinate the chicken with the ingredients
  • Heat a pan with mustard oil
  • Temper the oil with dried red chilies,bay leaves,cinnamon,cardamom,cloves and peppercorns

  • Add sliced onions and fry until brown. Then add turmeric powder,salt and water
  • step 6

  • Add turmeric powder,salt and water
  • Mix well and cook for 5mins
  • Add the marinated chicken and mix well
  • Cook for 10mins
  • Add green chilies for flavour
  • Add hot water and mix well
  • Add the pre boiled potatoes
  • Cover and bubble for 5mins
  • Add coriander leaves
  • Serve with rice as a side dish
