Kabsa is the very definition of a one pot dish of chicken and rice. Bake the chicken in the oven with some oil for half an hour to slightly brown the chicken pieces. The chicken is partially baked to ensure it is cooked through when it is cooked with the rice.

Ingredients for Chicken Kabsa Recipe

  • 0.33 cup Oil
  • 2 cup Onions
  • 1/2 teaspoon Grated Ginger
  • 600 gram Chicken
  • 1 tablespoon Salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon Orange zest
  • 1/2 tablespoon Black pepper
  • 1/2 tablespoon Finely Ground Cardamon
  • 1 piece Dried Lemon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cloves Powder
  • 1 tablespoon Tomato Paste
  • 2 cup Tomato
  • As required Kabsa Topping
  • 0.33 cup Almonds
  • 0.33 cup Raisins
  • As required Kabsa Main Dish
  • 1.50 cup Long Grain Rice
  • 2 cup Shredded Carrots

Directions: Chicken Kabsa Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.On medium-high heat add the ⅓ cup oil, a pair of cups onions, and ½ tsp grated ginger. Cook until brown.

  • STEP 2.Add the 600g chicken and cook until brown.

  • STEP 3.Add the remaining spices for kabsa ingredients (1 tbsp salt, 1/2tbsp orange rind, 1/2tbsp black pepper, 1/2tbsp finely ground cardamon, one-piece dried lemon, 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder, 1/4tsp cloves powder, 1tbsp ingredient, a pair of cups tomato (finely chopped)

  • STEP 4.Once you see the oil rising on prime, power one metric capacity unit of water and cook chicken for 25minutes lined on medium-high heat.

  • STEP 5.Kabsa topping on a separate pan on medium-high heat add a small amount of oil and almonds, once brown place it on the tissue.

  • STEP 6.Then, take the raisins and brown them, take care they brown quickly. Once brown, place it on the tissue.

  • STEP 7.Kabsa main dish once chicken boiled for 25min, take away and add it to baking pan and broil in hot over from 5-10min.

  • STEP 8.To the pot, add one 1/2cup of long grain rice and 2cups chopped carrots. Cowl with a clean towel to soak up additional wet and to stay the rice stiff and place the duvet on prime.

  • STEP 9.-9 cook for 25min on medium heat.

step 10

  • STEP 10.Serve rice initial, then chicken on prime, then sprinkle cooked almonds and raisins on prime.
