Delicious cutlets made with chicken. The minced meat is tossed in a few spices and patted to give it the shape of a cutlet. These are then fried in a pan. After one side is cooked, it is flipped to the other side. Once the cutlets attain a crispy outer layer and a golden brown colour, you can transfer them to a plate. They are best served with tomato ketchup.

Ingredients for Chicken Cutlet Recipe

  • 0.17 kilogram Chicken
  • 0.67 No.s Potatoes
  • 0.67 No.s Big Onion
  • 0.33 tablespoon Ginger
  • 0.33 tablespoon Garlic
  • 0.17 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 0.33 teaspoon Pepper powder
  • 0.67 Sprig Curry leaves
  • 1 No.s Green Chilly
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garam Masala
  • 0.67 cup Bread Crumbs
  • 0.67 No.s Egg white
  • NaN As required Salt
  • As required Oil For Frying
  • 0.08 cup Water

Preparation Directions

  • STEP 1.Take a pan and boil water. Add potatoes. When it is cooked, turn off the flame and allow it to cool down. Peel and mash the potatoes.

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Cut the chicken into small pieces. Wash it properly and drain. Cook the chicken along with turmeric powder,salt and water in a cooker for one whistle in medium flame .When done drain and keep aside to cool
  • STEP 2.Take a jar and whip the cooked chicken pieces.
  • STEP 3.Heat 2tsp oil in a kadai, add chopped onions, 1 tsp chopped ginger, 1tsp chopped garlic, chopped green chili and salt to taste. Saute it for a while, until the onions become transparent.
  • STEP 4.Add chopped curry leaves, 1/4tsp turmeric powder, 1tsp pepper powder and 1tsp garam masala. Saute it for a while,until the raw smell is no more. Add the whipped chicken and mix well.
  • STEP 5.After mixing it well add the mashed potato to it. Keep the flame medium-low. Try to get the water content dry. Mix well. Add salt and pepper powder to taste if less. Turn off the flame. Let it cool down.
  • STEP 6.When cooled make the mixture into medium size balls.
  • STEP 7.Flatten the balls into thick patties or to desired shape. Dip each piece of them in the egg white(beated). Roll this into bread crumbs.
  • STEP 8.Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry it.
  • STEP 9.Fry till both sides turn golden brown. So the chicken cutlet is ready to serve.

Serving Method

  • STEP 1.Transfer the chicken cutlets into a serving plate and serve hot with tomato ketchup and mint-coriander chutney.
