Directions: Chholar Dal Luchi Recipe

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Wash and soak Bengal gram lentils for 30 minutes. Pressure cook with water, turmeric, and salt until soft.
  • STEP 2.Heat ghee in a pan and add cumin seeds, bay leaf, cinnamon, cloves, and cardamom. Saut茅 until fragrant.
  • STEP 3.Add ginger, green chilies, and grated coconut. Cook for a minute and then add the cooked lentils.
  • STEP 4.Add sugar, salt, and water. Simmer for 10 minutes until the flavors blend together.
  • STEP 5.For the luchi, mix refined flour, salt, and ghee. Knead into a soft dough and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  • STEP 6.Divide the dough into small balls and roll them into circles. Deep fry in hot oil until golden brown.
  • STEP 7.Serve the Chholar Dal hot with the crispy Luchi. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and enjoy!
