Ingredients for Chettinad Chicken Recipe

  • 266.67 gm Curry cut chicken
  • 0.33 tsp dhania seeds
  • 0.33 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 0.33 tsp Fennel seeds
  • 2 Pieces Pepper corn
  • 0.33 Pieces Star anise
  • 1.67 Pieces Dry red
  • 0.33 Stalks Cinnamon stick
  • 1 Pieces Cloves
  • 0.67 g reen Cardamom
  • 0.33 g Large onion sliced
  • 1.33 Pieces Cherry to
  • 2 Pieces curry l
  • 0.67 g reen chillies
  • 0.33 tsp Ginger paste
  • 0.33 tsp Garlic paste
  • 0.33 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 0.17 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
  • To Taste Salt
  • as required water
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil

Directions: Chettinad Chicken Recipe

  • STEP 1.1. Marinate the chicken with salt and turmeric powder and keep for 1 hour
  • STEP 2.2. Dry roast all the whole spices and grind to a powder and keep ready
  • STEP 3.3. Now take vegetable oil in kadai and add cut onions, garlic, ginger paste and curry leaves and fry lightly
  • STEP 4.4. Now add the marinated chicken and fry on high flame, then lower the flame and add turmeric, salt.Add the spices mixture and now cook till oil seperates. Add the tomatoes and green chilli. Add water and cover and cook on medium flame till chicken is cooked well. Finally add few more curry leaves and serve with rice
