Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Wash and soak the rice for 30 minutes.
  • STEP 2.In a large pot, bring milk to a boil and add the soaked rice.
  • STEP 3.Cook the rice in milk on low heat until it becomes soft and tender, stirring occasionally.
  • STEP 4.Add jaggery to the pot and mix well until it dissolves completely.
  • STEP 5.Continue cooking the kheer for another 10-15 minutes until it thickens.
  • STEP 6.Remove from heat and let it cool slightly before serving.
  • STEP 7.Garnish with chopped nuts and serve warm or chilled.
