#paneer Hello friends one more traditional Bengali sweet Patishapta Pithe is here with my little twist. First let me give you some idea about traditional Patishapta is pithe. Bengali Patishapta is Poush Parbon/ Makar Sankranti special delicacy. Patishapta is combination of crepe & stuffing. Generally in Patishapta there are two types of stuffings in tradition. One is made from jaggery & coconut & other is made from khoya & milk which is known as kheer. Here I made stuffing of fresh chena /paneer.

Ingredients for Chena Patishapta Recipe

  • As Required Ingredients for crepe
  • 1/2 cup All purpose flour
  • 3 tbsp Rice flour
  • 2.50 tbsp Semolina
  • 0.13 tsp Cardamom powder
  • 1/2 tbsp Powdered sugar
  • 5.25 cup Milk
  • As Required ingredients for stuffing
  • 1/2 cup fresh chena
  • 1/2 tbsp Condensed milk
  • 1.50 tbsp mix dry fruit powder
  • As Required Few strands saffron
  • As Required hee for cooking

Directions: Chena Patishapta Recipe

  • STEP 1.1. Mix all ingredients of crepes & make lump free batter of dropping consistency. Rest for about 15-20 minutes.
  • STEP 2.2. Crumble or grate paneer & add rest of ingredients & prepare soft dough like stuffing.
  • STEP 3.3. Now heat non stick skillet & spread laddle full of batter in circular shape, once it is lightly cooked flip other side.
  • STEP 4.4. Then make cylinder shape roll from stuffing & put on crepe & roll over like frankie & cook from both sides.
  • STEP 5.5. Serve hot.
