- 50 gram Chopped shallots
- 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Mustard seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon Pepper powder
- 5-8 No.s Shallots
- 1 teaspoon Salt

How to Make Chena Mezhukupuratti Recipe
Into a cooking pan transfer chopped 1 cup of elephant yam, 2 cups of water, 50gm chopped shallots, 3 tbsp crushed dry red chilly, 2 sprig of curry leaves, 1 tsp turmeric powder and a tsp of salt.
Cook covered for 5 minutes on high flame and next 5 minutes on low flame.
In a pan add 2 tbsp coconut oil. When the oil gets hot, add in ½ tsp of mustard seeds and wait for it to splutter.
Crush the garlic and pepper together, transfer this into a pan and saute well. Add a sprig of curry leaf and mix well.
Then transfer the cooked elephant yam and cook in low flame for 10 minutes. Stir in between.
Turn off the flame after 10 minutes and the recipe is ready.
