Ingredients for Chappathi Roll/Vegetable Roll Recipe

  • 0.13 cup Atta
  • 0.13 cup All Purpose Flour
  • As required Water
  • 1/4 tablespoon Oil
  • NaN As required Salt
  • As required Oil
  • 1/4 No.s Onion
  • 3/4 No.s Green Chilli
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ginger
  • 0.06 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 0.06 teaspoon Kashmiri chilli powder
  • 0.13 teaspoon Garam Masala
  • As required Coriander leaves A few
  • 1/4 teaspoon Lemon juice
  • 1/2 No.s Boiled potatoes

Directions: Chappathi Roll/vegetable Roll Recipe

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Take a bowl and add 1tbsp, salt to taste, ½ cup water. Mix well.
  • STEP 2.Add ½ cup maida and ½ cup atta. Mix well. If the water content is more then add some more atta. Mix well to prepare the dough. Cover it with a lid.
  • STEP 3. Let it rest for 30 mins. Meanwhile we can prepare the filling.
  • STEP 4.Heat 2tbsp oil in a kadai and add some mustard seed. After it crackles , add 1 finely chopped onion, 1 tsp crushed ginger, 3 finely chopped green chillies and salt to taste.Mix well. Saute it for a while until the onions become transparent.
  • STEP 5.Add 1/4tsp turmeric powder, 1/4tsp kashmiri chilli powder, 1/2tsp garam masala and saute it for a while until the raw smell is no more.
  • STEP 6.Add the vegetables(Carrot(chopped), green peas, cauliflower,beans, etc). Mix well. Cover it with a lid and cook it in medium flame for some time.
  • STEP 7.Add the mashed potatoes and mix well. Add the chopped coriander leaves or curry leaves and 1tsp lemon juice. Mix well. Filling is ready now.
  • STEP 8.Make small balls of the dough. Make chappathi, using a rolling board and rolling pin.
  • STEP 9.Heat a tawa and cook the chappathi. Make sure don’t overcook it as we will shallow fry it again.
  • STEP 10.Take a bowl and add 1tbsp maida and some water to make thick paste.
  • STEP 11.Take a chappathi and place 1-2tbsp filling in the middle and roll the chappathi .Paste the corners with the maida paste so that the filling stays intact.
  • STEP 12.Repeat step 11 for the rest of the chapatis.
  • STEP 13.Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the rolls.
  • STEP 14.When both sides are fried well, take it out from the pan.
  • STEP 15.Vegetable roll/chappathi roll is ready to be served.
