Simple Vietnamese porridge made from cooked rice in water with stock, fish paste, sugar, shredded chicken, mushrooms, and poultry seasoning. It can also be eaten with a poached egg on the top.

Sliced the green onion stalk and mince the garlic.
In a pressure cooker or rice cooker first, saute green onions and ginger in 1 tbsp oil for 3 minutes until fragrant and golden brown.
Then add the rice, give it a good stir with the aromatics, add the chicken, water, and salt.
Close the lid and cook it for 45mins- 1hr. Remove the chicken and shred it into pieces.
Serve and garnish with green onions, fried shallots, and fish sauce.
