Ingredients for Chana masala Recipe

  • 400 g Canned chickpeas
  • 200 g Canned crushed tomatoes
  • 50 g canned diced chiles
  • 1/2 tbsp Garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp Onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Ginger powder
  • As Required Salt
  • 1.50 Tsp Oil
  • 1/2 Tsp Vinegar or lemon juice
  • As Required Fresh cilantro (optional)

Directions: Chana Masala Recipe

  • STEP 1.Heat oil in a pot over medium heat and fry the garam masala until fragrant.
  • STEP 2.Stir in the chiles, tomatoes, chickpeas, garlic powder, onion powder, dried ginger and enough water to cover everything. Simmer 20-30 minutes, until it thickens.
  • STEP 3.Add salt and lemon/vinegar to taste, stir in some cilantro leaves.
