Chanajorgaram_Mirapakaya_Bajji [Stuffed Green Chilli Bajji] *This is fusion, innovative, spicy Street food namkeen snack recipe which I have taken the idea from the south street food recipe mirch bajji and chana jor garam * It is a special evening snack with tea or coffee, especially in monsoon or winter season. It goes great with dips like green chutney, tamarind chutney.This recipe is different from the Mirchi Vada or Mirchi Fritters available in western and northern India. Here the chillies are first dipped in gram flour batter and fried. Later the fried chillies are then stuffed with a spicy-chickpea jor garam stuffing. The combination of crunchy spicy with crunchiness of fried green chillies is really tongue tickling and delicious.

  • 0-1/4 nos long chillies
  • 1/4 gram Flour
  • 0.06 cup Rice Flour
  • 0.06 tsp Ajwain
  • 0.06 tsp Turmeric
  • 0.13 tsp chili powder
  • As required salt to taste
  • 0.06 tsp baking soda
  • 0.13 cup water or as needed
  • As required Oil for frying.. Extra light olive oil

  • As required Pyaala Chana Jor/ Flat and Roasted Chana
  • 0.08 cup finely chopped onion
  • As required ½ cup finely chopped tomatoes
  • 1/4 nos Green chili finely chopped
  • 1/4 tsp Finely chopped coriander
  • 1/4 teaspoon Lemon juice
  • As required salt - as per taste
  • As required Black salt - ½ tsp or as per taste
  • 1/4 tsp Chaat Masala -
  • 1/4 tsp Red Chili Powder -
  • 1/4 packet *Meggie Masala E Magic -

Directions: Chana JorGaram_Mirapakaya Bajji or Stuffed Chilli Recipe

  • STEP 1.First of all, clean the chillies and cut them in the middle.
  • STEP 2.Remove the seeds.
  • STEP 3.Now take gram flour, rice flour in a big vessel.
  • STEP 4.Mix turmeric, chili powder, celery and salt well.
  • STEP 5.Now add water as required and mix well to make a smooth thick batter.
  • STEP 6.Now add baking soda and mix well.
  • STEP 7.Now dip the chilies in gram flour solution and put them in hot olive oil.
  • STEP 8.Deep fry on medium flame while stirring occasionally.
  • STEP 9.Fry the Bajji till golden brown and crispy.
  • STEP 10.Take out the bajji on kitchen paper to remove excess oil.
  • STEP 11.Now keep it aside!

  • STEP 13.Wash and clean the black gram well, soak it in water for 6 hours.
  • STEP 14.Now remove extra water from the gram and keep it in the cooker to boil.
  • STEP 15.Turn off the gas after one whistle and open the cooker when the pressure is over
  • STEP 16.Remove the water from the gram and once again wash it with water, filter it and take it out in a bowl.
  • STEP 17.Now flatten the chickpeas by pressing a rolling pin or plate and dry the chickpeas a little.
  • STEP 18.Now put some oil on a non stick pan and heat it. , Chana has to be roasted on medium flame.
  • STEP 19.Take them out in a plate when they are cooked. Now prepare the rest of the gram by roasting them in the same way.
  • STEP 20.Now add spices and onions, tomatoes and other ingredients to these crispy chickpeas and mix.
  • STEP 21.Now squeeze lemon and mix once again
  • STEP 22.And stuffing this mixture in Mirapakaya _ Bajji and serve with any chutney or sauce!
  • STEP 23.Enjoy Masala Mirchi Bajji with Masala Chai.
