  • 75 gram 1 tea cup chana dal; pre soak it for 3 hours
  • 0.13 cup desi ghee or butter melted or corn oil/sunflower oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon dhania powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder or to your taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 2 medium size onions, ground to paste
  • 1-1.50 teaspoon finely chopped coriander leaves
  • 1/2-1 tablespoon butter to be mixed at the final stage
  • 1/2 teaspoon paste of ginger and garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon per serving desi ghee, optional
  • 2 For garam masala: | bay leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon dalchini
  • 1/2 teaspoon Jeera
  • 2 Clove
  • 1-2 badi and choti cardamom , all powdered together
