Ingredients for Chal Potol Recipe

  • 500 gram potol
  • 250 gram Potatoes
  • 50 gram Tomato
  • 50 gram gobindobhog rice
  • 15 gram cashew nuts
  • 15 gram Raisins
  • 10 gram vegetable oil
  • 35 gram mustard oil
  • 2 piece dried red chillies
  • 2 piece bay leaves
  • 2 piece Cardamom
  • 2 piece Cloves
  • 1 piece Cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 15 gram ginger paste
  • 8 gram cumin powder
  • 4 gram coriander powder
  • 3 gram Turmeric
  • 1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 10 gram Salt
  • 20 gram Sugar
  • 2 piece green chillies
  • 8 gram Ghee
  • 1/4 teaspoon garam masala
  • 350 gram Hot water

Directions: Chal Potol Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.Make a mixture of ginger paste, turmeric powder,cumin powder,coriander powder,red chili powder and water

  • STEP 2.Wash the rice

  • STEP 3.Peel the skin of potol and cut them

step 4

  • STEP 4.Heat the pan with oil

step 5

  • STEP 5.Fry the dry fruits for 20mins

step 6

  • STEP 6.Add rice and mix well

step 7

  • STEP 7.Set aside

  • STEP 8.Fry the potol and add salt

step 9

  • STEP 9.Set aside

  • STEP 10.Add more oil

  • STEP 11.Add dried red chilies and bay leaves

  • STEP 12.Temper with cardamom, cinnamon,cloves and cumin seeds

  • STEP 13.Add the potatoes and fry until brown

  • STEP 14.Add the spices mixture and cook for 4mins

  • STEP 15.Add salt and sugar

  • STEP 16.Add tomatoes and mix well
