It is a milk based dessert topped with glutinous rice, kidney beans and cream corn.Cendol is an iced sweet dessert that contains droplets of green rice flour jelly, coconut milk and palm sugar syrup. It is commonly found in Southeast Asia and is popular in Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, Cambodia, East Timor, Laos, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, and Myanmar.

Ingredients for Cendol Recipe

  • 4 tablespoon glutinous rice
  • 17.25 cup Water
  • 1 tablespoon coconut milk
  • 0.70 tablespoon Salt
  • 290 gram palm sugar
  • 9 Nos pandan leaves
  • 55 gram rice flour
  • 25 gram corn flour
  • 15 gram mung bean flour
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • As required Creamed corn
  • As required Kidney Beans
  • 4 cup coconut milk

Directions: Cendol Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.Soak glutinous rice for 4 hours minimum

step 2

  • STEP 2.Steam the rice and once cooked add a pinch of salt

step 3

  • STEP 3.Mix well and keep it aside

step 4

  • STEP 4.Take a pot add palm sugar,½ cup water knotted pandan leaves, heat it at low heat and keep it aside

  • STEP 5.Now grind pandan leaves,¾ cup water and make a paste

step 6

  • STEP 6.Then mix rice flour,corn flour,mung bean flour,salt and pandan paste altogether

  • STEP 1.pour the rice flour and pandan mixture in a pot and cook until it turns thick and glossy

step 8

  • STEP 1.in a bowl add 5 cup of water,& ice cubes

step 9

  • STEP 1.now put the mixture in a plastics bag and snip off the top

step 10

  • STEP 1.now squeeze the mixture and allow strands of rice flour mixture/jelly into the bowl of cold water

step 11

  • STEP 1.add a pinch of salt to the coconut milk,8 cups of water and keep it aside

step 12

  • STEP 1.take a glass/mug and add rice flour jelly,cream corn, kidney beans & glutinous rice

step 13

  • STEP 1.add palm sugar syrup,top with ice cubes & coconut milk
