An easy and delicious stuffed clams and shrimp recipe. The dish is just some fried vegetables in a portuguese wok. The stir-fried vegetables are easy and yummy at the same time.

Ingredients for Cataplana Recipe

  • 1.30 kilogram Shrimp
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 2 No.s Onion
  • 3 No.s garlic cloves
  • 2 No.s bay leaves
  • 1 pinch saffron
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 2 cup Water
  • 5 sprig Parsley
  • As required Cataplana
  • 1.80 kilogram Clams
  • As required Olive oil
  • 170 gram Linguica, chorizo
  • 2 No.s prosciutto
  • 2 No.s Onions
  • 1 No.s green bell pepper
  • As required Garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 can Marzano tomatoes
  • 6 cup shrimp stock
  • 0.33 cup cream
  • As required Parsley

Directions: Cataplana Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.Heat a pan and add some oil, add the shrimp heads and shells. Cook until brown. Now add onions, garlic, bay leaves, and saffron.

step 2

  • STEP 1.Add butter and tomato paste after a few minutes. Add water and simmer for 40 minutes. After that keep aside.

step 3

  • STEP 1.Soak the clam. Heat some olive oil in a pan and add sausage, prosciutto and cook.  after 6 minutes add onions and peppers and cook for another 5 minutes. Then add garlic, saffron, paprika, tomatoes and wine.  cook for another 20 minutes.

step 4

  • STEP 1.Bring a boil if needed. Then add cream and garnish with fresh parsley.
