Ingredients for Carrot and mawa halwa Recipe

  • 0.17 kg Carrots
  • 0.17 litre Full cream milk
  • 41.67 gm Mawa
  • 0.17 cups Sugar
  • 0.33 Tbsp Ghee
  • 0.08 tsp Cardamoms powder
  • 1.67 Pieces Almonds
  • 1.67 Pieces Cashew nuts
  • 3.33 Pieces Raisins
  • 1.67 Pieces Pistachio

Directions: Carrot And Mawa Halwa Recipe

  • STEP 1.👉Wash, peel and grate carrots.
  • STEP 2.👉Heat 1 tb spoon ghee in a heavy bottomed karahi. Roast almonds, cashew nuts and pistachio and remove in a plate. When cool chop it.
  • STEP 3.👉Add grated carrots and full cream milk in this karahi and cook on low flame till its become thick and milk gets evaporated. It may take 20 minutes. Keep stirring in between.
  • STEP 4.👉Add sugar. Cook again for 10 - 12 minutes till sugar melts and mixes with carrots nicely and mixture starts becoming lumpy. Add remaining 1 tb spoon ghee. Keep on stirring continuously to avoid burning.
  • STEP 5.👉Now crumble mawa and mix in this mixture leaving some for garnishing. Add cardamom powder and mix well. Add all dry fruits keeping a few for garnishing. Switch off the flame.
  • STEP 6.👉Serve hot garnished with chopped almonds, cashew nuts and pistachio.
