Ingredients for Cannoli Recipe

  • As required For Shell
  • 2 cup All purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon Granulated Sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1.50 tablespoon unsalted butter, cut into small pieces
  • 1 No.s Egg Yolk
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • As required Filling
  • 2 cup ricotta cheese, preferably whole milk
  • 3/4 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/4 cup Heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup small semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 No.s Lemon
  • 1 liter canola oil, for frying
  • As required Flour, for rolling
  • 1 No.s egg, lightly beaten, for egg wash
  • As required Powdered sugar, for dusting

Directions: Cannoli Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1. mix some flour, sugar and salt in a bowl along with butter egg yolks and white wine to knead a firm dough.

step 2

  • STEP 1.wrap the dough in a plastic wrap and refrigerate for a few minutes.

step 3

  • STEP 1.whisk ricotta in a bowl until it becomes smooth.

step 4

  • STEP 1. combine heavy cream with ricotta.

step 5

  • STEP 1.add in the chocolate chips and lemon zest.

step 6

  • STEP 1. refrigerate it for an hour.

step 7

  • STEP 1. in another bowl mix sugar cinnamon and allspice and set it aside.

step 8

  • STEP 1.roll the dough flat and cut small circles out of it using a glass/ bowl.

step 9

  • STEP 1.wrap the circles around a cannoli mould and deep fry them until they turn crisp.

step 10

  • STEP 1.stuff the filling into a piping bag and fill the shells.
