A easy and simple dessert prepared from coconut and sugar. Coconut Sweet is a popular snack in Cameroon which is made by cutting coconut into shreds then gently toasting it until brown and crispy. It is homemade Toasted Coconut Flakes at it's finest - crispy perfectly coconutty and sweet. You only need 3 ingredients: 1 medium coconut, 2 heaped tablespoons of granulated sugar and a quarter cup of water.

  • 1 Nos medium coconut
  • 2 tablespoon granulated sugar, heaped
  • 1/4 cup Water

Directions: Cameroonian Coconut Sweet/toasted Coconut Flakes Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.Break the coconut into two parts and take the water out in a bowl. Preheat oven at 180 degrees for 15 minutes. Bake the coconut for 2 minutes. Take out the coconut flesh and shred it.

step 2

  • STEP 1.In a pan add water and sugar. Now add the shredded coconut and stir fry it for 15 minutes. Let it cool down and serve.
