Ingredients for Caldo De Res Recipe

  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 beef shanks
  • 1/2 onion diced
  • 8-10 cup Water
  • 2 garlic cloves finely diced
  • 2 Juice of limes
  • 1 jalapeño finely diced
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 chayote diced
  • 2 Mexican zucchini diced
  • 2 carrots chopped
  • 1/4 inch cabbage sliced 3 s
  • 2 inch corn on the cob 3 each
  • As required Salt and pepper

Directions: Caldo De Res Recipe

  • STEP 1.Remove the meat from the beef shanks, chop into pieces and season the meat with salt and pepper
  • STEP 2.Heat oil in a large pot, onion, garlic, salt, pepper and fry
  • STEP 3.Cover and cook for 30mins until the beef is tender
  • STEP 4.Add remaining garlic, jalapeno,lime juice,bay leaf,chayote,zucchini, carrots and corns
  • STEP 5.Add salt and pepper if needed, Cover and simmer for 50 minutes , add cabbage slices in the last 10 minutes
