  • 2 tablespoon robust coffee beans/3 Tbsp ground coffee
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 2 large pasteurized eggs
  • 1 teaspoon packet vanilla sugar or 2 sugar + 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoon sweetened condensed milk

How to Make Ca Phe Trung (vietnamese Egg Coffee) Recipe

STEP 01

Pulse/grind the occasional beans for 15-20 seconds to attain a medium grind. Transfer all-time low occasional into the occasional filters, dividing the occasional equally.

Add the remaining boiling water, dividing between the filters, and allow the occasional to slowly drip through. (this takes approx of 3-4 minutes.)

STEP 05

Separate the eggs and place the yolks into a cup. Add the vanilla sugar. Employing a hand mixer, bit by bit increase the speed then beat the eggs on high speed for one minute. (you’ll notice the yolks turning from bright orange to yellow and turning into thicker.)

STEP 06

Add one tbsp sugary milk then combine at high speed for an extra minute. Add another one tbsp sugary milk and once more combine on high speed for one minute or till the eggs are creamy and custard-like. (the total admixture time is about 3-4 minutes.)

STEP 07

To assemble the drinks, pour the occasional into two mugs, reserving one tbsp occasional per mug. Spoon the downy egg mixture on high of the occasional, dividing it equally between the 2 mugs. Drizzle the remaining occasional into every mug. Serve the mugs in bowls of boiling water to readying the occasional. (you may also heat the occasional before collection the drink.) optionally, high the vietnamese egg occasional with ground cinnamon or topping or each as per your would like.
