Ingredients for Buttermilk Rasam Recipe

  • 300 milliliter Curd
  • 4 No.s Green chilies
  • 1 inch Ginger
  • 1 No.s Chopped Onion
  • 1 teaspoon Chana dal
  • 1 teaspoon Black gram
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1 No.s Dry red chili
  • 1 sprig Curry Leaves
  • 4 No.s Garlic Cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric
  • As required Salt

Directions: Buttermilk Rasam Recipe

Preparation

  • STEP 1.For the buttermilk, whisk curd and add water gradually until you get a smooth mixture. Add salt and a coarse paste of 4 green chillies, 1 inch ginger and onions and keep it aside

Method

  • STEP 1.In a pan add 2 tbsp of oil, 1 tsp of chana dal, 1 tsp of black gram, 1 tsp of mustard seeds and ½ tsp of cumin seeds and let it splutter. This means your spices are hot to be worked with.
  • STEP 2.Stir them one more time before adding the pastes and powdered spices.
  • STEP 1.Add 1 dry red chili, prepared onion paste , curry leaves and mashed garlic cloves. Saute for about 5 minutes then add ½ tsp of turmeric powder and salt .
  • STEP 2.Now in a bowl add the buttermilk prepared and transfer the prepared tempering in the bowl. Combine everything completely and serve.

Serving

  • STEP 1.Serve delicious buttermilk rasam hot with steaming hot rice.

Storage and serving method

  • STEP 1.Store the mutta biscuits in an airtight container and at room temperature.
