Ingredients for Buñuelos Recipe

  • 0.09 cup All purpose flour
  • 0.03 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.03 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 0.03 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/50 cup vegetable shortening
  • 0.03 cup cold water
  • 0.06 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • As required Canola oil

Directions: Buñuelos Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.1 - add flour, baking powder, salt and 1 tsp sugar in a food processor.

step 2

  • STEP 2.2 - combine it well and add shortening to it.

step 3

  • STEP 3.3 - gradually add water to it and form a smooth dough.

step 4

  • STEP 4.4 - cover the dough and set aside, allow it to rest for 30 minutes.

step 5

  • STEP 5.5 - mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.

step 6

  • STEP 6.6 - make small balls out of the dough and flatten it to make thin circles.

step 7

  • STEP 7.1 - heat some oil in a pan and fry the bunuelos until they turn golden brown.

step 8

  • STEP 8.2 - coat the bunuelos with sugar cinnamon mix and your bunuelos are ready to be served.
