  • 1 cup Water
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, urad dal, and chana dal. Saute until the dals turn golden brown.
  • STEP 2.Add chopped onions, green chilies, and curry leaves. Saute until the onions turn translucent.
  • STEP 3.Add chopped vegetables like carrots, peas, and capsicum. Cook for a few minutes until the vegetables are slightly tender.
  • STEP 4.Add water and bring it to a boil. Add salt and turmeric powder.
  • STEP 5.Slowly add the brown rice rawa while stirring continuously to avoid lumps. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the rawa is cooked and the upma reaches the desired consistency.
