Broccoli is an edible green plant in the cabbage family whose large flowering head is eaten as a vegetable. The word broccoli comes from the italian plural of broccolo, which means "the flowering crest of a cabbage", and is the diminutive form of brocco, meaning "small nail" or "sprout". Broccoli is often boiled or steamed but may be eaten raw. It is healthy and nutritious green vegetable which is used in many recipes. In this recipe i have prepared broccoli paratha using broccoli, potatoes, onion and seasoned with some masalas. Paratha was yummy, mouth melting, flavorsome.

Ingredients for Broccoli paratha Recipe

  • 1/4 cup For covering – Wheat flour
  • 1/4 tablespoon Ghee/Oil – + 2tbsp for greasing
  • As required Salt
  • 0.06 cup rice flour – for dusting rolling board and parathas or Wheat flour
  • As required water for kneading dough
  • 0.38 cup For Stuffing Broccoli Florets – tightly packed
  • 1/2 Boiled potatoes – small
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin Seeds
  • 1/4 onion – small or 0.5 medium finely chopped
  • 0.13 tablespoon lemon juice – half lemon
  • 0.38 teaspoon Garam Masala
  • 0.13 teaspoon turmeric powder – + 0.25 tsp for blanching
  • 1/2 cup Hot water – for blanching
  • As required salt + for blanching
  • 3/4-1 Green Paste – Green chilies
  • 1.25-1.50 garlic cloves
  • 0.38 tablespoon Grated ginger
  • As required For Serving curd or Pickle
