Broccoli is an edible green plant in the cabbage family whose large flowering head is eaten as a vegetable. Broccoli is often boiled or steamed but may be eaten raw. It is healthy and nutritious green vegetable which is used in many recipes. In this recipe i have prepared broccoli cutlets, using broccoli, potatoes, onion and seasoned with some masalas and rolled in toasted rolled oats.

  • 1/2 cup Broccoli Florets – tightly packed
  • 1/4 Boiled potatoes – large
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin Seeds
  • 1/4 onion – small or 0.5 medium finely chopped
  • 0.13 tablespoon lemon juice – small half lemon
  • 0.38 teaspoon Garam Masala
  • 0.06 teaspoon turmeric powder – + 0.25 tsp for blanching
  • 1/2 cup Hot water – for blanching
  • As required salt + for blanching
  • 3/4-1 Green Paste – Green chilies
  • 1.25-1.50 garlic cloves
  • 0.38 tablespoon Grated ginger
  • 1/2-3/4 tablespoon oil – for shallow frying + 1/2 tbsp for tempering
  • 3/4-1 tablespoon For Slurry– Rice flour
  • pinch salt a small
  • As required water for thick slurry
  • 0.13 cup For the coating Toasted rolled oats
  • As required Other ingredients – for serving tomato Ketchup or Any dip
