  • 1/4 teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1/2 Tomatoes, Chopped

Directions: Brinjal And Green Mango Dal Recipe

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Wash and soak the lentils for 30 minutes.
  • STEP 2.In a pressure cooker, add the soaked lentils, chopped brinjal, green mango, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt.
  • STEP 3.Add water and pressure cook for 3-4 whistles or until the lentils are cooked and soft.
  • STEP 4.In a separate pan, heat oil and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, and curry leaves. Let them splutter.
  • STEP 5.Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  • STEP 6.Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
  • STEP 7.Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn mushy.
  • STEP 8.Add the cooked lentil mixture to the pan and mix well.
  • STEP 9.Simmer for 5-10 minutes until the flavors are well combined.
  • STEP 10.Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.
