About Bread Upma Recipe:
A variation of upma made using toasted bread cooked in tomatoes, onions. green chillies and spices. It is tempered in mustard oil with mustard seeds and curry leaf.

- 16 piece Whole wheat brown bread slices
- 3 No.s Tomatoes chopped small
- 2 No.s Onions thinly sliced
- 2 No.s Green chillies finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon Sambar powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
- 3 sprig Curry leaves
- As required Salt
- 1 tablespoon Oil
- bunch Coriander Leaves finely chopped A

How to Make Bread Upma Recipe
Preparation Directions
STEP 01
Toast and butter 16 slices whole wheat bread.
STEP 02
Diced into small cubes.
Cooking Directions
STEP 01
In a preheated pan add 1 tbsp oil, 1 tsp mustards seeds and allow them to crackle. Then add 3 sprigs curry leaf, 2 thinly sliced onions, 2 finely chopped green chillies and stir and saute till onions are soft and tender.
STEP 02
Next add 3 tomatoes chopped small, ½ tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp sambar powder. Stir well till the tomatoes and onion get well combined with the masala.
STEP 03
Then add the diced toasted bread and mix well to combine. Ensure that the bread is well coated by the masala.
STEP 04
Cover and allow to steam cook for 3 to 4 minutes.

Lastly add small bunch of chopped coriander leaves
