#bread Bread pattice/Bread Pakora/ BreadBhaji( as it's called in Mumbai) is delicious and popular street food of Mumbai. Brea slices are spread with spicy potato mixture and dipped in besan batter and deep fry in hot oil. Served with special dry garlic chutney.

Ingredients for Bread Pattice/ Bread Pakora Recipe

  • 1 pieces big slices sandwich bread
  • 1 pieces boiled & mashed medium potatoes
  • 1/4 tbsp Oil
  • 0.13 tsp Urad Dal
  • 0.13 tsp Mustard seeds
  • 0.13 tsp Cumin seeds
  • a stalk of curry leaves
  • 0.06 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tbsp green chillies ginger garlic paste
  • 1/2 tbsp coriander leaves finely chopped
  • as required Salt as required
  • 1/4 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup Besan
  • 1/2 tsp Red chilli powder
  • as required Salt as required
  • 0.06 tsp Soda bi carb
  • as required Oil for deep fry
  • As Required Dry garlic chutney as required to serve

Directions: Bread Pattice/ Bread Pakora Recipe

  • STEP 1.First prepare potato mixture.. In mixing bowl add mashed potatoes,salt, green chilli ginger garlic paste, lemon juice, finely chopped coriander leaves,on it add tempering of oil-urad dal, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, turmeric powder and curry leaves. Mix well. Divide this mixture into 4 equal portions. Keep aside.
  • STEP 2.In another mixing bowl add besan red chilli powder and salt,add enough water and mix to make semi-thick batter for making pakoras. Add & mix soda bi carb at the time of frying.
  • STEP 3.To prepare Bread Pattice/Bread Pakoras..Take one bread slice, spread one portion of prepared potato mixture on one side. Similarly prepared all.
  • STEP 4.Heat oil for frying. In besan batter add & mix soda bi carb, dip prepared potato spread bread slices in it.
  • STEP 5.Gently drop this in hot oil. Deep fry on medium flame till golden brown and crispy.
  • STEP 6.Cut Bread Pattice/Bread Pakoras into nine pieces .
  • STEP 7.Serve/ Relish Hot Bread Pattice/Bread Pakora with dry garlic chutney, green corainder chutney and tomato ketchup.
