Bow tie shrimp pasta is a delightful and visually appealing dish that combines tender shrimp, pasta, and a creamy, rich sauce. The shrip adds just the seafood touch you need and the bow tie pasta makes it as incredible to look at as it is to taste.
STEP 1.Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the bow tie pasta according to the package instructions until it's al dente. Drain and set it aside.
STEP 2.Season the shrimp with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
STEP 3.Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until they turn pink. Remove the cooked shrimp from the skillet and set them aside. In the same skillet, add the cherry tomatoes and sun-dried tomatoes. Cook for a few minutes until they start to soften.
STEP 4.Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth. Stir well and bring the mixture to a simmer. Allow it to simmer for a couple of minutes.
STEP 5.Add the fresh spinach leaves to the skillet and let them wilt in the sauce. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil.
STEP 6.Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and combine them with the sauce. Add the cooked bow tie pasta to the skillet and toss everything together to ensure the pasta is well coated with the creamy sauce.
Cooking Tips
Do not over-cook the pasta, it tastes better al-dente.
Add red peppers if you like heat in your pasta.
Serving Tips
Garnish with extra fresh basil and grated parmesan to make it extra creamy.
