Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.Peel and chop the bottle gourd into small pieces.
  • STEP 2.In a pan, heat oil and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add chopped onions and garlic.
  • STEP 3.Saute until the onions turn translucent. Then add the chopped bottle gourd and cook for a few minutes.
  • STEP 4.Add salt, turmeric powder, and cayenne pepper. Mix well and cook for another minute.
  • STEP 5.Pour in vegetable broth or water and bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the bottle gourd is tender.
