Ingredients for Bonda Recipe

  • 0.13 cup Wheat flour
  • 0.06 cup Maida
  • 0.09 cup Sugar
  • 0.03 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1/2 No.s Cardamom
  • 0.19 piece Banana
  • 0.03 teaspoon Baking soda

Directions: Bonda Recipe

Cooking Directions

  • STEP 1.In a mixer grinder, add ¾ cup of sugar, ¼ tsp of cumin seeds and 4 nos of cardamom
  • STEP 2.To the mixture add 1 ½ pieces of banana and blend it wll in the grinder to form a medium consistency.
  • STEP 3.Add ¼ tsp of baking soda and mix well
  • STEP 4.To the batter add 1 cup of wheat flour, ½ cup of maida and pinch of salt.
  • STEP 5.Pour in a cup of water. Knead well to form a loose dough.
  • STEP 6.Keep aside the dough in a closed container with a lid for 2 hours.
  • STEP 7.Heat the cooking oil in a deep fry pan. Take rolls of medium size dough and fry them in a pan on a low flame.
  • STEP 8.Toss the sides to get a golden brown colour.
  • STEP 9.Repeat the procedure with the rest of the dough.

Special Comments

  • STEP 1.Instead of sugar, grated jaggery of the same quantity can be used.
