Ingredients for Bombil Recipe

  • 12 piece dry bombil medium size
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 5-6 garlic cloves
  • 1/4 inch Ginger
  • 4-5 dry mango bytes
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 2 teaspoon aagri red chilli powder
  • As required Salt
  • 1 tablespoon coriander chopped
  • As required Oil

Directions: Bombil Recipe

step 1

  • STEP 1.Clean fish by discarding its fins and stomach portion.

step 2

  • STEP 2.Cut into pieces and put in hot water to remove dirt and excess salt.

step 3

  • STEP 3.Once clean remove from water. Take 2 tbsp oil in a pan,once heated,put onion stir till it turns slightly brown.

  • STEP 4.Add garlic ,ginger finely chopped or paste.saute.

step 5

  • STEP 5.Add bombil. Mix well, add salt as per taste.put 2 tbsp water and cook for 10 mins on low flame by covering with lid and water on it.

step 6

  • STEP 6.Once water kept on lid becomes warm add some water in bombil to avoid dryness.after 10 mins ,check, if bombil is well cooked add dry mango bytes and coriander. Cover with lid and again keep for 2 mins.

step 7

  • STEP 7.Check after 2 mins sukhe bombil masala is ready to serve.

step 8

  • STEP 8.Serve with rice or bhakri
