  • 1/2 teaspoon Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon Urad Dal
  • as needed A Few Curry Leaves
  • 1/2 Onion, Chopped
  • 1 Green Chilies, Chopped
  • 1/2 cup Roasted Gram Flour
  • As required Salt To Taste
  • 1/2 cup Water

  • STEP 1.Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, urad dal, and curry leaves. Saute until the mustard seeds splutter.
  • STEP 2.Add chopped onions and green chilies. Cook until the onions turn translucent.
  • STEP 3.Add roasted gram flour, salt, and water. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes until the chutney thickens.
  • STEP 4.Remove from heat and let it cool. Transfer to a blender and blend until smooth.
  • STEP 5.Serve the Kadalai Maavu Chutney with dosa, idli, or any South Indian breakfast dish.
  • STEP 6.Cooking Tips: Adjust the quantity of green chilies according to your spice preference. You can also add a pinch of asafoetida for extra flavor.
