  • 450 gram salt cod
  • 2 No.s Potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon onions chopped
  • 1 No.s garlic clove
  • 2 tablespoon finely chopped cilantro
  • 2 No.s Egg
  • As required Kosher salt
  • As required Ground pepper
  • 1 tablespoon All purpose flour
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • As required Vegetable Oil

step 1

  • STEP 1.In a large bowl cover the salt cod with cold water and refrigerate it for 2 days.

  • STEP 1.In a pot, boil the cod for 15 minutes.

step 3

  • STEP 1.Boil potatoes in a salt cod cooking water for 20 minutes. Now mash the potatoes with cod in a bowl. Add onions, garlic, cilantro and egg yolks. Add salt and pepper then sprinkle flour and pour the egg whites too.

step 4

  • STEP 1.Form small balls from the mixture and ¼ cup each and then roll into bread crumbs.

step 5

  • STEP 1.Now put them on a baking sheet and heat some oil. Fry the cod balls in batches. Serve hot.
