Ingredients for Black eye beans Recipe

  • 1/4 cup Black eye beans
  • 1/4 tsp Musterd seeds
  • 0.13 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 0.13 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tbsp Garam masala
  • 0.13 tsp Coriander powder
  • to taste Salt
  • 3/4 tbsp Oil

Directions: Black Eye Beans Recipe

  • STEP 1.Wash and soak black eye beans for one overnight Add these soaked beans in pressure cooker along with salt turmeric and two cup of water. Cook for 3 whistles. Take out and strain.
  • STEP 2.Now take a kadai add oil. Heat it and let crackle cumin seeds. Add cooked beans and all spices. Mix well.
  • STEP 3.Add 1 cup of water,Mash partially with help of back of spoon or a masher. Cook for 5 mins. Serve with roti and rice. Add chopped coriander leaves if available. Raw onion also goes well with black eye beans.
