This curry is a traditional chana curry is made with the masala of fried coconut and soices Eaten with the traditional Puttu for breakfast and a side dish for rice and chappatti.
STEP 3.Heat a pan ..Add grated coconut,cinammon,pepper and fry till light golden brown.Simmer flame .Add corriander powder,chilly powder and mix.switch off gas and grind to a fine paste .
STEP 4.Heat oil in a pan.Add mustard.when crackles add red chilly,green chilly and onion and saute till translucent.Add chopped tomatoes.add curry leaves.
STEP 5.Cook till well mashed.
STEP 6.Add the ground paste and saute
STEP 7.Now add the cooked chans to this and adjust the consistency of gravy.add ginger juliens
STEP 8.Gravy should be semi thick.
